Clayton Avenue and Honeysuckle Avenue Alley Repaving

The Celebration CDD will begin repaving the alleys in Honeysuckle Avenue in Celebration Village and Clayton Avenue in North Village beginning Tuesday, February 12, 2019, with work being done Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Clayton Avenue alley will continue through Tuesday, February 26, 2019.

  • ·Honeysuckle Avenue alley will continue through Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Clayton: The District’s contractor, Camcor, is planning on milling first. Once this is complete, garbage trucks should be able to drive on the milled surface. However, once they start excavating for the curb install, the alley will not be drivable until the paving is complete. The milling should take a day. The paving is estimated to occur on Monday February 25, 2019, and will take a day. Once paved, the alley will be closed for a day to allow the asphalt to set up.

Honeysuckle:  The District’s contractor, Camcor, is planning on milling first, and the trash trucks should be able to drive on the milled surface. Once they start excavating for the curb install, the alley will not be drivable until the paving is done. The milling will take two days, and then they will excavate and install the curb in sections. They have to let the concrete curb cure hard, and then they will proceed to pave. Expect this alley to be fully closed from Monday, February 18 through Wednesday, March 6. Some dust can also be expected during this process. During this repair, access to your driveway will be restricted. It is strongly recommended that you move your vehicles to the street parking in front of your home.

The above schedule will change depending on product availability, production, and weather conditions. However, notification and progress on the project will be available on the Celebration website. Signage will be placed at the entrances to the alley at least 48 hours prior to the closing of the alley.

If you have any question or need further information regarding this project, please do not hesitate to contact the District Office at 407-566-1935.

Thanks for your cooperation during this alley repair project.
