The Celebration CDD will begin repaving the following alleys:
Honeysuckle Avenue alley in Celebration Village
Clayton Avenue alley in North Village
Work will start Monday, November 26, 2018, and be performed Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Clayton Avenue alley will continue through Friday, December 7, 2018
Honeysuckle Avenue alley will continue through Wednesday, December 19, 2018
The District’s contractor is Camcor, and they are planning on milling first. Once this is complete, garbage trucks should be able to drive on the milled surface. However, once they start excavating for the curb install, the alley will not be drivable until the paving is complete. The milling will take one to two days; then they will excavate and install the curb in sections. They need to let the concrete curb cure first, and then they will proceed with laying the asphalt.
During the milling phase (removal of the asphalt), the alley may be closed. Some dust can also be expected during this process. During this repair, access to your driveway will be restricted. It is strongly recommended that you move your vehicles to the street parking in front of your home.
The above schedule will change depending on product availability, production, and weather conditions. However, notification and progress on the project will be available on the Celebration website. Signage will be placed at the entrances to the alley at least 48 hours prior to the closing of the alley.
If you have any question or need further information regarding this project, please do not hesitate to contact the District Office at 407-566-1935.
Thanks for your cooperation during this alley repair project.
